Northwest women's basketball pushed Division I UMKC in an exhibition from Kansas City Tuesday night, but the Roos came out on top 69-58.

The Bearcats trailed by 10 at halftime and played an evenly matched second half with UMKC, but couldn't get closer than nine points in the final two quarters.

Kendey Eaton led all scorers with 25 points. She went 7-11 from the field, and 10-11 at the free throw line.

Head coach Austin Meyer said it was a good preview of what the senior from Mound City can do for the 'Cats this season.

Mia Stillman and Jaelyn Haggard scored nine points apiece.

Northwest women's basketball opens the regular season November 8 against Wayne State in Kearney, Nebraska.

Fans can meet both Northwest basketball teams at the Bearcat Bash Wednesday at 7pm in Bearcat Arena.
